Schreivögel (Tyranni)
Die Schreivögel bilden eine der drei Unterordnungen der Sperlingsvögel. Sie sind eine Schwestergruppe der Singvögel, die sich von den Singvögeln durch ihren einfacher gebauten Kehlkopf unterscheiden. Ihr Stimmapparat ist weniger gut entwickelt. Sie sind deshalb nicht in der Lage so facettenreich zu singen. Die Maorischlüpfer sind die dritte Unterordnung der Sperlingsvögel, sie ist endemisch auf Neuseeland. Von dieser Unterordnung gibt es nur noch zwei Arten.
